Negombo
This is the closest beach to Colombo and to the Bandaranayke International Airport where many of tourists are enjoying their vacation. There are plenty of star class hotels as well as beautiful beaches with weekend parties etc. From there you can see the Colombo town and the Negombo lagoon where the large scale fish markets were situated. Most of tourists spend their morning at these fish markets as it is a new experience for them to see the dealings and market environment.
