Peradeniya Botnical Garden

At the past days this garden was reserved for Kandiyan royals. Now the garden is open for everyone. This impressive garden is located in Peradeniya which is 6km away from the city of Kandy and bordered by River Mahaweli. Fine collection of orchids and stately avenue of royal palms are striking scenes. Apart from that the park shelters for many species of widespread flora. Javan Fig tree covering 2500sq meters is like a giant living in geodesic dome. During the week ends the park is full of smooching young couples. The place is ideally match for nature lovers, photographers and people who like to relax with the nature.
