Colombo is and always will be the hip and happening commercial capital of Sri Lanka. Represented as a collision of both colonial and present eras, you will witness many of the structures preserved and maintained in its original colonial architecture among the many upcoming skyscrapers in the city. in spite of its small size numbered as 37.31 km², Colombo offers a varying selection of experiences ranging from mansions to lush gardens to fine dining options to shopping malls crammed with expensive designer brands standing next to city slums; apart from the hip ambience the diesel fumed congested roads and street markets, can be a quite a bit of an experience too. The best places for a visit will be Galleface green, Independence square, Pettah and fort, the museum, Dutch hospital, Viharamaha Devi Park, Gangaramaya Temple.
